Amcat Training The Amcat National Training Center

Amcat operates an accredited training facility for all levels of adjuster training and educational needs.  Training is conducted in small classes by well-seasoned insurance adjuster professionals employed by Amcat.  The training facility offers comprehensive training programs in Basic Property Adjusting, Intermediate Property Adjusting, as well as software training. 

The goal of the Amcat National Training Center is to provide adjuster training, certification and exposure to real life scenarios prior to adjusters being deployed.

Adjuster training is conducted in small classes at our Training Center located in Coppell, Texas. Class size is usually 15 to 20 adjusters. The instructors are all Amcat employees with years of adjusting experience in the field.

The courses are designed to be comprehensive and provide the necessary training for an adjuster to progress in the profession.

The current curriculum, listed below, consists of courses designed for new as well as experienced property adjusters.

Class Details and Registration

USAA Certification

Designed for the adjuster who has 3+ years experience.
Classroom instructions and practical exercise, including Xactimate 25 software review.  Specific client and AMCAT guidelines covered, in preparation for the USAA certification test upon course completion.

Basic Property Adjusting

Developed for new adjusters entering the profession.
Students receive classroom instruction and hands on experience conducting property inspection and estimate preparation using Xactimate 25 estimating software.
25 hours CE credit available for qualified adjusters.

Intermediate Property Adjusting

Designed for the adjuster who has 2-3 years experience.
Instruction and practical exercises for property adjusters including software review, hail and windstorm inspections, additional living expense, policy coverage, consumer protection and ethics. 30 hours CE credit

Designed for the adjuster who has 4+ years experience.
Upon successful completion, the property adjuster is prepared to handle small commercial losses and commercial residential claims such as condominiums and apartment complexes.
24 hours CE credit

Estimating Software

Focusing on specific software (Xactimate 25) .
Classroom instruction and practical exercises for the property adjuster focus on the techniques needed to produce a complete estimate that will pass client review the first time.
22 hours CE credit and 2 hours ethics.

Earthquake Certification

Designed for the adjuster who has 2-3 years experience.
Upon successful completion of this three (3) day course an adjuster is prepared to interpret residential earthquake policies, conduct inspections, develop and present final estimates acceptable to clients.

Texas Adjuster Pre-Licensing - (Property, Casualty and Surety)

A five (5) day course that teaches property adjusters HOW to interpret and apply policies in the “real world” and provides the information necessary to assist the adjuster in passing the Texas state licensing exam administered on the last day of class.
