Basic Property Adjusting Course w/ Xactimate 25


 

This five (5) day course is designed for the new property adjuster entering the profession. 

We prepare an adjuster for a successful deployment to major weather catastrophes anywhere in the United States.  CE credit 25 Hours.

Xactimate

Prerequisites
  • Desire to learn a new profession.
  • State Adjusting license and experience not required
    (to receive CE credit students must have state license.)
  • Able to climb a one-story roof
Learning Objectives
  • Approximately 60 hours of training.
  • Insurance terms, definitions and principles.
  • Construction techniques, building material and calculation of roof measurements.
  • Successful inspection & communication techniques
  • Apply policy coverages.
  • Operate estimating software & sketch (Xactimate 25).
  • Safely climb and measure a roof.
  • Learn the correct techniques for taking photographs.
  • Prepare a loss estimates & narrative reports.
  • Receive & transmit a claim electronically.
  • AMCAT procedures.
Required Class Materials
  • Digital Camera.
  • Handheld Calculator
  • Laptop computer with at least Windows XP operating system installed. 
  • Clothing for one-day outdoor activity, soft-soled shoes suitable for climbing on a roof.
Xactimate: Important Notice Amcat will NOT install Xactimate for any student during the course. Students must arrive with software pre-installed. Please download version 25.1 by clicking here for instructions and installation information.

Drug Test A drug test is included in your tuition fee.
Adjusters must take and pass a drug test before Amcat offers a contract.

Amcat Contract

Upon successful completion of this course and drug test results, an AMCAT contract may be offered.

Disclaimer
  1. Class attendance alone guarantees neither a deployment with AMCAT nor a passing grade.
  2. You must attend all training sessions and attain a passing cumulative score of 70% and meet AMCAT’s contractual criteria, per AMCAT 2008 CONTRACT, to be deemed deployable.
  3. AMCAT holds the right to objectively and subjectively evaluate a student/Independent Contractor for future deployments.  Evaluation parameters include but are not limited to: Software Knowledge, Character and Professionalism. 
  4. AMCAT does its best to predict but cannot foretell staffing needs and therefore does not guarantee deployment even if all of the above mentioned criteria are met. 
  5. AMCAT will issue a certificate of completion that indicates your overall cumulative score, as well as indicate 25 hours (BASIC COURSE) or 22 hours (XACTIMATE 25 COURSE) of continuing education.  CE credits are for Texas licensed adjusters only.  Your passing grade on the will be proof that you have mastered basic adjusting knowledge.
Rebate

REBATE POLICY

BASIC PROPERTY ADJUSTING

    • An adjuster successfully completing the BASIC PROPERTY ADJUSTING course will be reimbursed their tuition (minus the $50 drug test fee) upon the submission of 40 files for AMCAT, which are accepted by the client. 
    • Rebate is redeemable up to one (1) year after course completion.
    • Any improprieties by the adjuster, which result in disciplinary action by AMCAT or the client, will nullify the rebate.

     

Refund Policy

Tuition may be refunded up to 7 days before the beginning of a class and upon return of all class material.  If an adjuster is unable to attend a selected AMCAT course, they may within one year, reschedule the course or select a different course with the same tuition.
